I'm really looking forward to the trip to Hangzhou, I had a fantastic time with last year's Year 6 and expect this year will be just as exciting!

I'm looking forward to getting to know the other students in Year 6 better, particularly those in my group who I haven't met properly yet! I'm also cannot wait to take part in the biking and hiking activities and I'm sure you'll all be very excited about the DISCO night!

Make sure you pack wisely and bring lots of treats to keep me going!

Best wishes,
Miss Cole

Monday Night
We’ve had a busy first day; after arriving safely at Hangzhou airport we were whisked off to West Lake for a fantastic cruise where we watched the sunset and took in the breath-taking views. We then headed to the hotel where we were pleasantly surprised by our accommodation…however some of the boys were less than impressed to find their rooms situated right next door to mine and Mrs Jordan’s room – luckily for us the walls are quite thick!
All the students are behaving well and I’ve just about convinced William and Ruben to wear some warm clothes for our hike tomorrow (that’s if they can find any beneath the mountains of sweets and chocolate!).
I hope you’re not missing your lovely children too much and I will keep you updated with the events as they unfold!

Wednesday Night
It’s been an action packed day for Miss Cole’s crew. The students had a superb trip to the pottery museum where they tried their hand on the pottery wheel…there may be a few clothes to be washed on the students’ return as some appeared to get more clay on their clothes than on the wheel! We had a fabulous visit to a local school in the afternoon where we enjoyed an ICT class with the Chinese students. We had an extremely enjoyable evening with a magic show in which the children were taught a number of tricks which they will be able to wow you with when they get home.

That’s all for today,
Miss Cole
